As the Member of Parliament for the Karaga Constituency, one of the most deprived areas in our northern part, you chose to build a 6,000-capacity mosque as though it were the people's most pressing need.
Honestly, I am not surprised. This is the same country that praised President Mahama for building about ten churches for his denomination (Assemblies of God), and the very same country that wasted millions of taxpayers' money on a National Cathedral that never was.
I had a dream for Karaga. I dreamt of a Karaga with a factory
capable of employing 6,000 people. I dreamed of a Karaga Hospital equipped with 500 beds to save lives.Writing this, I was fully aware that those obsessed by religious sentiment will pick up issues with me. But here is the good news: if you approach me with decorum, you will be met with the same. If you don't, expect the exact same energy in return.
A 6,000-capacity mosque in a deprived constituency? Wow.
