Urgent Exit: Ghanaians In Qatar Told To Leave By Tuesday Over Middle East Crisis

 

The Government of Ghana has set a Tuesday deadline for its nationals living in Qatar to prepare for possible evacuation as tensions across the Middle East continue to escalate.




A statement from officials says the directive is part of precautionary measures aimed at safeguarding the welfare of Ghanaians in the region following growing security concerns and uncertainty surrounding the conflict situation.




"We refer to its earlier notice dated 6th March, 2026 and to inform all Ghanaians living in Qatar that the Government of the Republic of Ghana has decided to undertake an emergency evacuation exercise in Qatar in the wake of the heightened security situation in the Region," a portion of the statement reads.




Authorities have urged affected citizens to remain in close contact with Ghana’s diplomatic mission, comply with safety advisories, and make the necessary arrangements ahead of the deadline as the government works to ensure their safe return if the situation deteriorates further.
