United Arab Emirates does not support a simple ceasefire with Iran, stating that any resolution must address the full range of threats, including missiles, drones, and regional influence. 


He emphasized that a temporary pause would not solve the core issue, calling instead for a conclusive outcome that removes long-term risks. This reflects a broader shift among Gulf states toward demanding structural changes rather than short-term de-escalation. 
Otaiba also confirmed that the UAE is ready to join international efforts to reopen and secure the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy route through which a major share of the world’s oil supply passes. 
At the same time, he reaffirmed the UAE’s $1.4 trillion investment commitment in the United States, signaling that economic alignment with Washington remains strong despite rising regional conflict. 
The message is direct: ceasefire alone is insufficient. The focus is shifting toward long-term security restructuring, with global economic stakes rising alongside military escalation.
