For the first time in many generations, a sacred tradition was interrupted.

On Palm Sunday, Israeli police stopped Catholic leaders from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre — the holy site where Christians believe Jesus Christ was crucified and resurrected.
Authorities said it was due to security concerns linked to the ongoing tensions with Iran.
