Ex-Ghanaian Footballer Ends Up Homeless in Germany After Donating €20,000 to Church
Ibrahim, a former Ghanaian footballer now living on the streets in Germany, has shared the painful story behind his current situation.
According to him, his struggles began during a promising spell with FC St. Pauli, where a leg injury went untreated and worsened, eventually leaving him bedridden.
He revealed that the club initially supported him with medical care and financial assistance. However, he later made a life-changing decision to donate the entire €20,000 support he received to a church — a choice he now deeply regrets.
“I made a mistake,” Ibrahim admitted, explaining that the decision left him without any financial safety net.
Now wheelchair-bound, he says the harsh realities of street life pushed him into alcoholism, which started as a way to cope with the cold but has since turned into addiction.
