Ghana is back and open for business” – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has declared that Ghana is “back and open for business,” signalling what he described as a renewed era of discipline, economic reform and investor confidence.

Delivering his State of the Nation Address in Parliament, the President stressed that his administration has chosen “discipline over excuses” in confronting the country’s economic challenges.

Addressing the House of the Parliament of Ghana, President Mahama said the government’s focus is on restoring macroeconomic stability, rebuilding confidence in the economy and creating opportunities for sustainable growth.

He noted that difficult but necessary decisions have been taken to stabilise the fiscal environment, strengthen public financial management and improve transparency across state institutions.

According to the President, Ghana’s renewed commitment to fiscal discipline and structural reforms is already sending positive signals to both domestic and international investors.

He assured Ghanaians that the government remains determined to prioritise job creation, private sector growth and social protection, while ensuring accountability in the management of public resources.

The President’s remarks are expected to shape public and political debate in the coming days, as lawmakers and stakeholders assess the policy direction outlined in the address.
