They took sand from my footprints and my pictures for rituals but my father intervened’ – Adwoa Safo

Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has opened up about facing spiritual attacks during her early political journey, particularly during her first attempt to contest for the parliamentary seat.

In a video currently circulating on social media, Adwoa Safo recounted that some individuals attempted to use her photographs and even soil from her footprints in spiritual rituals meant to harm her. However, she said all such efforts proved futile due to the spiritual protection she received from her father, Apostle Safo Kantanka, the renowned inventor and spiritual leader.

“During my first parliamentary election contest in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency, some individuals took my picture and collected sand from my footprints to use in a sacred ritual,” she revealed. “However, whenever they attempted to call out my spirit to cause harm, my father would appear to protect me.”

She emphasized that every time her name was invoked in these alleged spiritual attacks, her father’s intervention rendered their attempts powerless.

“It got to a point when the ritualist saw my picture, they said it was a man. When they mentioned my name, he said they should never mention that name again. As for my father, I don’t know how to thank him,” she said.

Adwoa Safo has been on several media tours after the 2024 general elections to speak on her position in the New Patriotic Party and the ordeals she faced as an MP during her time in office.

This has triggered friction between her and some members of the New Patriotic Party.
