Man Files For Divorce After He Caught His Wife Cheating On Him In A Drea

FOR ages, dreams have held a powerful grip on humanity, influencing our waking lives in unexpected ways. One such way is the unsettling image of your partner going behind your back, a scenario that can manifest in a dream.

Now, a bizarre case has emerged, where a man’s decision to file for divorce hinges entirely on a dream vision of his wife cheating on him with a neighbour. Despite having no concrete evidence of his wife’s infidelity, Energy Moyo from Lobenvale suburb in Bulawayo’s justification for filing for divorce centred on vivid dreams.

He said that whenever he had those dreams, he would wake up convinced that his wife Angela Dube was unfaithful. In these disturbing dreams, he claimed his wife was romantically involved with another man.

Waking up from them, he would be left deeply troubled and questioning his wife’s faithfulness. In his application yet to be heard at the Bulawayo Customary Court, Moyo stated his desire to dissolve the marriage.

He stated that he could no longer cope with his wife of nine years. In his suit, he stated that the dreams strained their marriage and that there was no love anymore between him and his wife. Moyo reiterated that their customary marriage had irretrievably broken down and there were no prospects of a restoration to a normal relationship.

“The marriage relationship between the parties has irretrievably broken down and there are no prospects of restoration of a normal marriage between them for one or more of the following reasons:

“We’ve been married for nine years, but since the beginning, I’ve had recurring dreams where my wife seems to be lying or hiding something from me. I experienced vivid dreams where my wife was in a romantic relationship with another man who happens to be our neighbour and upon confronting her, she claimed my explanations were inadequate and failed to address her concerns.

“Most of these dreams feel like warnings. I’ve even dreamt of her cheating, although I have no reason to believe she ever has. Regardless, the constant dreams make me feel like she’s keeping secrets,” Moyo’s application reads in part.

He claimed that these recurring dreams had eroded their love, affection, trust, and respect for each other, leading him to seek a divorce.

Moyo further claimed that his attempts to discuss the dreams were met with violence, as she allegedly became verbally and physically abusive. Moyo, who wants custody of their two children upon the dissolution of their marriage, wants to have their property, mostly household items, to be shared equally.
