I’ll lead ‘No Debate No President’ demo against Mahama if… Koku Anyidoho

Koku Anyidoho has threatened a demonstration against the 2024 presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama, over his refusal to debate New patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institute, a pending demonstration exercise dubbed “No Debate No President” lurks at the doorstep of Mr. Mahama if he ever fails to engage the NPP candidate who is also the incumbent Vice President, in a debate.

“I’m daring John Mahama, If he is bold enough, he should come out openly to tell us that he would not debate Bawumia then he would see a massive moment in this country, and that is the demonstration I would lead. The demonstration would be ‘No debate No President’ and we would see how he gets to the presidency.

“He should stop hiding behind his political meiocyte who has turned to become the obstacle to the NDC’s progress,” Koku Anyidoho said on the Angel Morning Show on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

His warning comes after Aide to former John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, is said to have indicated that Mahama will not engage in any debate with Dr. Bawumia stating that there is nothing to debate about in a “crashed and broke country” under the the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia administration.

The former deputy General Secretary of the NDC claimed most of the party faithful who have the party at heart have had enough of the former President’s utterances.

“We have enough of him because Ghana is at a crossroads and we need serious-minded people to lead this country and if the current Vice President is bold enough to say ‘I’m prepared to stand up to the place and speak to his records and give Mahama his visions’, it is all about records and visions.

“John Mahama, you also have records so come and speak to Ghanaians and give us your vision but you don’t want to honor the debate? We will see what happens if you dare us,” he told host of the programme, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah.

He noted that the behavior of the NDC leader coupled with that of his campaign team would harm the party going into the upcoming election.
