Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister Geoffrey Onyeama has condemned what he says is the illegal demolition of a facility at Nigeria’s High Commission in Ghana.
According to the diplomat, the unknown persons used a bulldozer to raze down a residential building within the premises of the High Commission in Accra.
“We strongly condemn two outrageous criminal attacks in Accra, #Ghana, on a residential building in our diplomatic premises by unknown persons in which a bulldozer was used to demolish the building.
“We are engaging the Ghanaian Government and demand urgent action to find the perpetrators and provide adequate protection for Nigerians and their property in Ghana,” the foreign affairs minister tweeted.
He said the High Commission is working with the Ghanaian government to find the perpetrators of the act and for the necessary sanctions to be applied.
