New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) delegates are voting to elect parliamentary candidates for 168 constituencies.
This exercise is the second phase after the first phase of the primaries came off in September 2019 in constituencies with no sitting Members of Parliament.
Today, a total of 374 aspirants are contesting in the 168 constituencies. Out of the 374 persons, 325 are men while 51 are women.
Voting will take place at 2,365 polling centers nationwide and is expected to end at 1 pm.
Constituencies said to be hotspots include Dome Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region. Deputy Majority Leader and Minister of State in charge of Public Procurement, Adwoa Safo locks horns with Mike Oquaye Junior, Ghana's High Commissioner to India.
The rest are Tema West, Tema East, Ablekuma North, Adentan, Adansi Asokwa, Bantama, Manhyia North, Asante Akim South, Sunyani East and Berekum East.

To Techiman North constituency… Incumbent MP who doubles as Deputy Bono East Regional Minister, Martin Oti Gyarko, has been retained. He polled 346 votes while Smith Mbakimbe had 105 votes.
Lawyer Ebenezer Kwadwo Kum wins Ahanta West bid again. The incumbent MP beat Kwasi Biney
John Kumah wins Ejisu constituency bid. He beat Kwabena Owusu Aduomi [pictured], deputy minister of road and highway who is the incumbent MP.

Adwoa Safo wins Dome Kwabenya again! She has defeated Mike Oquaye Jnr. Incumbent Adwoa Safo polled 496 votes while Oquaye, Ghana's High Commissioner to India polled 488.

Manhyia South endorses Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO's) parliamentary candidacy. He will contest the Manhyia South seat on the ticket of the NPP
Deputy Chief of Staff, Francis Asenso Boakye [pictured] wins Bantama constituency with 456 votes. His competitor who is the incumbent, Daniel Okyem Aboagye, had 122 votes.
Fuseini Issah [pictured] has won Okaikwei North with 308 votes. His competitor Ken Kuranchi had 284.
