HON. JOSEPH OSEI-OWUSU VISITS BURNT OMESS DORMITORY



MP for Bekwai Constituency and 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu today Friday 31st January 2020 visited Oppon Memorial Senior High School (OMESS) to assess the extent of damage of the burnt boys dormitory.

 The dormitory which houses 340 students got burnt on Thursday 29th January 2020.

The dormitory including the students belongings has been burnt to ashes.
After consulting with the headmaster of the school, Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu has initiated moves to provide immediate "relief" to the affected students who have been asked to go home and report back on Monday.
Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu has requested the headmaster to as a matter of urgency provide him with the cost of providing the immediate needs of the affected students.




Engineers and surveyors are on site assessing the structural integrity of one of the school's uncompleted storey building to know if they can complete the the top floors. They are to present their report to the MP on Monday.
